2012 VRA ONTARIO ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING |
The VRA Ontario Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held Friday, November 2, 2012. The AGM will take place between 12:00 noon and 1:15 pm during the 2012 Annual VRA Ontario Conference at the Courtyard Marriott Toronto-Brampton.
All VRA Ontario Members are welcome to attend the AGM at no charge.
Lunch will be provided.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BOARD MEMBERS |
The VRA Ontario Board is comprised of 12 members.
Say "Hello" to Laura!
Laura Smillie
Laura's career has consisted of over 15 years of working with various clients to assist them in achieving their personal best. In her previous senior management roles, she successfully managed teams of multidisciplinary professionals whose focus was to work with multi- barriered clients in the return to work process. With extensive project management experience, Laura managed various government funded employment support programs including Employment Ontario and Service Canada projects, Ontario Works, CPP, VAC, WSIB and numerous fee-for-service client accounts.
Laura currently manages a business management consulting firm specializing in human resources consultation, training & development and disability management services. Laura also currently also provides quality assurance support on VAC files. Laura's studies in Psychology, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling, Health & Safety and Human Resources Management combined with her drive and passion has resulted in many clients successfully returning to the workforce.
Laura holds the following designations: Registered Community Support Specialist (RCSS), Registered Vocational Professional (RVP), Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP), Certified Vocational Professional (CVP), Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), Senior Human Resources Professional (SHRP). Additionally, she is a certified Personality Dimensions Level 2 Trainer (qualified to certify Level 1 facilitators), Certified WHMIS Train-the-Trainer, Certified DISC Analyst and is Valpar Pro 3000 trained.
Laura is an active member of the Human Resources Professional Association, Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA), in addition to many other associations and has been a member of the Board of Directors of VRA, Ontario Society since January 2010.
